RED BANK, New Jersey, 17 November - A Belford man is charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his 46 year old son to death in a Red Bank nursing home. Police say the son was autistic and had recently suffered a stroke, which had left him physically disabled and for which he was undergoing residential care at the nursing home. Authorities say James Joseph Cummings, Senior (72) walked into the Aventi Nursing Home yesterday morning and stabbed his son James Joseph Cummings, Junior, as he was laying in his bed. He then told the nursing home staff what he had done, and waited for police to arrive to arrest him. An investigation continues. |
